Looks like the VR party is finally over for Sea of Thieves with Rare’s recent addition of Easy Anti-Cheat. Desktop Viewer is too laggy using the SteamVR API and I’ve never been able to get the OpenXR API working on my Varjo Aero.
Anyone have any other ideas or workarounds? I’ve become so fat and happy with silky smooth VorpX immersion on the virtual “big screen” that the idea of going back to pancake 2D brings a tear to my eye.

Hello.
Just as a warning for others. I got permanently banned from Sea of Thieves for testing the game in VR with VorpX…
I just uploaded a new Vorpx profile for SOT which looks great in VR.
It’s: Sea of Thieves(G3D-Medieval Dynasty)
I can play with a steam controller just like an Xbox controller so it doesn’t require a mouse and keyboard to play in VR.
Steam VR recently had an update that allows you to adjust the world scale of a VR game in the Steam VR settings so be sure to adjust that for a more immersive experience after you start the game.
Cheers!Hello, I’ve decided I wanted to try Sea of Thieves with the Vorpx cinema mode using the Desktop Viewer, however I have noticed that using the desktop viewer causes the mouse cursor to no longer be locked to the game, in either fullscreen or windowed mode. This issue then persists even after closing the desktop viewer until I reboot the game. Any ideas what could be causing this specific issue? Google comes up with nothing helpful at all.
I was initially attempting to run Sea of Thieves, but decided I ought to try something that has a local profile to be sure. I tried Monster Hunter World as well.
I did get the headset to work with Elite Dangerous, just to make sure it works on its own.
It’s directly connected with a thunderbolt 3 cable, and shows as connected in the Oculus program.
Launching either of the tested games does result in hooking, with the logo on the bottom, but the headset just displays its home screen.
I gave the forum a scan, and didn’t see anything, so I’m hoping I’ve just overlooked something (also kudos to Ralf for being so responsive).
Thanks in advance! So hey just out of curiosity I’m wondering if anyone has found a viable work around using a controller while using vorpx with SOT. I’ve had a lot of fun messing around with the game in VR, but cant really play seriously with my crew without having access to the inventory menus and what not. Playing with mouse and keyboard worked, but not very intuitive to do in VR. So i would love to hear if anyone has any has a solution or work around. Thanks.
Is it possible to hook the Gamepass version of Sea of Thieves with VorpX? If so, can you detail the steps to make this possible? Would love to try it!

G3D works well. Set to play with 1920×1440 resolution (recommend to set this resolution to desktop before start the game). Main eye is set the to right, since my dominant eye is the right. To change it to left eye, press END -> more 3d settings -> main eye -> left. This is very important, since gunsight be fixed to one or other eye with G3D.
Updates:
– Fixed water glitch when onboard of Galleon´s deckKnown glitches:
– Water glitch at Galleon´s second floor hold.
– Little water glitch reflex at left screen border when set main eye to right.
– Some underwater 2d aren´t showing at left screen (waiting authorizing code to work on it).
– G3D doesn´t works in some resolutions on full screen, especially those with 16:9 aspect ratio.Does anyone have tips to how can I edit a custom profile with Ctrl+end to fix “one eye rendering textures”? I´m trying to optimize my Sea of Thieves custom profile, but i´m stucked in some one eye rendering textures… don´t have any clue how I can fix it.
